b)For me it is important to be true to myself because I think you should always do what you feel is best and what you want to do. whatever it takes to reach your goals in life and be successfull and be happy.

c) happiness is more important to me than being filthy rich but I would like to make enough money that I can easily pay all my bills and not have to stress over money all the time.

d) I will know that i have been successful in my career when i have my own house and can support a family and can live happily.

I think that holden is the one that really lives by his own morals because he never cares what anyone tells him and doesnt really take anyones advice for anything. he lives life by his own rules and treats it like a game. He doesnt push him self to do well in school and is always misbehaving and getting expelled. The only one he really respects in his life is his little sister. At least Igby follows the rules sometimes and tries to do things right to impress people.

BLOG 4

If I was going to take a trip to escape some of the things in my life such as school and work I would probably go to Bancroft. Bancroft is my favourite place to be because it is far away from all the city life and is a nice relaxing place to be. I love to be in country because there is so many things to do. If I did take a trip to Bancroft I would probably do lots of things. One thing I would definatley do is take a day trip out on the lake and do some fishing, this would be nice and relaxing and get my mind off any worries back home. Another thing that I would do is probably ride some trails on the 4 wheeler this is always a fun way to really escape any stress you have. Something else I would do is take a hike up to the eagles nest. The eagles nest is a look out spot that is located at the very top of a cliff and from there you can look out over the whole town its really quite the view and its also very relaxing.
These are just some of the things that I would do on my trip to Bancroft I think that it would definatley be a nice relaxing trip that would relax you from all stress.

I think Holden is kind of immature for his age because he doesnt really take responsibility for anything. He is always failing his classes and not caring about what happens in his life. Also he is always judging people and calling them phony when really he is being kind of a phony himself.

Is life a game

Life is not a game although sometimes people like to treat it like one. You cant go through life acting like nothing really matters and that you dont really care about anything. In real life there is no restarting levels or cheat codes to help you out everything you do is stuck with you for the rest of your life. Now this doesnt mean that you always have to be serious and never have fun it just means that there is a time and a place for everything. So one of the main things that holden should do is make sure that he graduates high school and gets a good graduation while he still can because after a while things are going to start catching up on him and he is going to be lost and not know what to do for the rest of his life.

What does it mean to be true to yourself

In the story Holden is always calling people phonys witch means fakes. He dosent like when people are phonys because he says they are not being true to themselfs. An example from the story is when he talks about how his old principle used to go around shaking all the parents hands and when he saw a parent that was a little bit over weight or messy he would put on a fake smile shake their hand quikly then go have a 20 minute conversation with one of the other parents. If someone asked me what I thought it ment to be true to yourself i would tell them that you should always follow your dreams no matter what other people think and you should always tell people how you feel and dont do stuff just because people say its cool. Also think about the things that are most important to you in your life and always put them first. For me that would be my family and friends I would do anything for them and always put them first.
